Lots of you probably have a few different passwords and user-names spread over the WWW. Probably all the websites you visit on a regular basis are the ones which don’t cause you any probleml. But there are loads of websites you visit once, maybe twice, a month. At these websites I’m guessing my user-name and pass a few times and finally will decide to let the page retrieve my password.

Since one month I’ve been using 1Password and love it ever since! This app integrates in all your browsers automatically. Whenever you fill in a login it’ll ask you to remember it. After using it for a few days you’re probably already getting addicted. Retrieving your passwords takes just one click!

Check out this video and enjoy!

I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t like setting up PHP MySQL servers. I always wondered why it couldn’t be just an application with two buttons that starts and stops the server. Well here it is! It’s an application called MAMP and is developed by Living-e AG.

It contains Apache 2, PHP4&5 and MySQL. The PHP scripts are processed by eAccelerator, which results in a up to ten times faster execution than Apple’s pre-installed Apache/PHP.

In the package you will also find a two button widget that can start or stop you PHP or MySQL by one click.

The search App you’ve been looking for!

Spotlight for the web! This is a great Safari plugin! There are some discussions about the developer (David Watanabe). They say he’s rude, and makes money by the searches you do with Inquisitor, but hey, i’ts a free App, works great, and the only thing I notice is that Amazon will show up at the top a few times, but other then that, I don’t care.

It’s a great App which makes searching the web so easy, especially since you don’t have to reload Google every time you adjust you’re search, ow another great feature is that it auto-fills your keywords! I even use Inquisitor to just skip my bookmarks.

Like TellSell would say “Quick and Easy”.

Check it out here, give it a shot below! Enjoy!

As you probably noticed, I’m a huge iTunes fan. For a few years now I had been using YouControl to control my iTunes from the menu-bar so I didn’t have to swap back and forward to iTunes, but can directly access my main controls.

I was alway enjoying the function, but didn’t really like the looks that YouControl had in my menu-bar. Via Boy I got the App Senergy that does almost the exact same as you control, only looks (in my opinion) a bit better.

Ok, so that’s mainly why I posted Synergy (who’s logo by the way is dead ugly, but hey, you won’t see that, so that’s fine).

You can adjust synergy throughout your preferences, and it looks can be modified as much as you want, I believe it’s even possible to create your own skin. So go ahead and enjoy!

Ok, backing up isn’t something we all love to do. I try to make a backup every now and then, and always pay much care to my music collection, since there’s a lot of hard work in there… But there are loads of people who don’t, buy a new computer, throw away the old one, attach their iPod and then come to the conclution it isn’t possible to get your music back from your iPod. Well, for all those out there, there is a sweet solution called iPodRip. This nifty App allows you to attach your iPod, and send its music back into your computers’ iTunes.

This is also a great solution for those of you who love to share music… (Although it’s not allowed, but hey… I’m not crazy ;) )

Enjoy!

Enjoy!

Waking up made easy!

This is a great tool which Boy passed me. Before I used iAlarm sometimes, I loved waking up to my iTunes, but hated the looks and the way the App worked (or even sometimes didn’t!). The last few days I woke up with this App, and it’s way WAY better!

It’s designed very well, and works great! You can have multiple alarms, snooze, sleep function and every other reason to take you’re Macbook, iBook, Macbook Pro or even Mac Pro to bed! The only downside is that most of the times my MBP is attached to my stereo, so I have to leave my stereo on, but hey, it’s well worthed!

Check it out, it’s got great futures! Ow, and it’s only 15 bucks!
Of course you’ll find a demo below!

Got XBOX 360? Let’s connect!

As a former PC user I really loved the xbox feature to stream my PCs music to my XBOX. Later when I finally ditched my PC I really missed streaming my music to my console, so after a short google session I found this awesome application that converts your mac into a Windows Media Server with only one click. If you want to setup the same service on your windows PC, make yourself a cup of coffee cancel you upcoming appointments and start doing the “Windows thingy”.

The application is actually a preference pane that starts a media server (probably over SMB) and makes your XBOX believe you have got a aluminum Windows PC with an apple on the side.

When you have started connect360 from your mac you can now access your iTunes music, iTunes videos, iPhoto’s pictures and movies from your XBOX 360. Now you can start enjoying all your Mac’s music while you are playing your favorite games or watch your iTunes series on your TV without using a video adapter or tv.

The application is only $20,- and is developed by www.nullriver.com (yes, the same guys that made the iPhone installer app)

A public demo is available.

Got PS3 ??? check out MediaLink –> Awaiting review, who’s got a PSP?

Ok, our first of is an app I have been using for years now. Lot’s of us collect DVD’s and love to share these with friends… The only problem is that we and our friends also love to forget who lended which DVD.

Delicious Library is a great tool which makes it possible for you to keep track over who you lended which DVD, it get’s it information from amazon, so adding a DVD is easy as pie. Enter the title, and most of the times you’re done. You can even use you’re iSight which is abble to scan the barcode on the dvd cover and then hook you up with all the info. (Cover, plot information, cost, rating etc.)

BTW, not only does Delicious Library keep track over you’re DVD, it works excactaly the same for books, games and you’re music CD’s. AND its looks are stunning! Just like the developers’s site (Delicious Monster) the App is designed wonderfull, and won some great prices!

It also fits in with you’re iCal calendar which allowys you to keep track over the time you lent you’re DVD’s. If you’ve got some stuburn friends like me, who tend to forget to bring me my DVD’s every time (like my sister ;) ) you can also let Delicious Library spam them about it automaticaly. Since I love my friends, I try NOT to spam them, but hey… like I said, maybe a great deal for those really stuburn ones ;).

The other integration which I love is the way it uses you’re Addressbook. Delicious Library even get’s the picture you attached to you’re contacts.

Really, lending DVD’s was never this much fun.

Check the screendumps down here, enjoy!

Fools day, no better way!

Hi and welcome to for you’re mac! It’s been 32 years since we finally got the nerves to start this blog! No seriously, were starting this blog because we love Apple, and love great Apps! And we’re going to share them with… YOU!

You will be served only the nicest, sweetest and coolest applications for your mac. We will be reviewing these apps briefly, but still try to give you a good idea of what these apps are capable of. We will always post screenshots, and a direct download link so you can go right ahead.

Ok, so you’ve got a cool app which you would like us to post? No problem, give us a head’s up throughout our contact form, let us know something about the app and we might be posting, but remember, we don’t review ALL software, just the software me and you love. So no… text-edit won’t make it to foryourmac.com, on the other hand, an app like TextMate probably will…

Get the idea? Hopefully you’ll love For Your Mac, if you do we love to know of course, just leave a comment, join our feed or what so ever…

There we go!
